Baku, Finance Time. Azercell Telecom, the leader of country's mobile communication market sustains its tradition of implementing successful social projects and supporting series of conferences and events during 18 years of operation.
Along with the different projects aimed at the development of social sphere, the company also attaches great importance to the projects in scientific and educational development aimed for the youth. 3G and 4G laboratories established at leading universities with Azercell’s initiative, e-learning, different internship and bursary programs for students, support to intellectual TV program "What? Where? When?", as well as multiple successful projects implemented in cooperation with Barama Innovation Center were among these projects.
The next step the company took in this regard was the support to TEDx Baku event “Yaddaş” (“Memory”) held at the Baku Jazz Center on April18. The TEDx Baku conference held in Azerbaijan brought together over 200 participants. Azercell representative Imran Baghirov joined another 8 speakers to make an interesting presentation on customer experience to the audience.
The 30 years old TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference was first held in 1984 and united world scientists, politicians, entrepreneurs, artists and other professionals. Newly launched Macintosh computer, Sony compact-discs, artificial intellect and other cutting-edge innovations were presented at the first TED conference.Up to now, former US president Bill Clinton, Nobel laureateJames Watson, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Google executive chairmanEric Schmidt have acted as speakers in TED events.
