Baku, FinanceTime. The Azerbaijani women in ICT, Femmes Digitales, an organization which is getting popularity not only in ICT sphere, but also beyond its professional scope, has celebrated its 2nd birthday on December 4th, 2016.
Representatives of various IT companies and organizations such as the Ministry of Communication and High Technologies, “ASAN Xidmət”, from such companies like “B.ESTSolutions”, “Microsoft”, “Cybernet”, “UltraTechnologies”, “MONT”, “R.I.S.K”, “İteca Caspian”, “AzİnTelecom and etc. attended the event.
Jana Krimpe, one of the founders of “Azerbaijani women in ICT – FEMMES DIGITALES” Club and the head of the B.EST Solutions Company, informed participants of the successful achievements made during the period of the last two years and mentioned some plans for the nearest future.
As it was stated, the only aim of the Club was to unite girls and women of ICT sphere in government and private sector as well as in social activity, to convey information on the latest innovations in ICT sphere and to increase an aspiration of girls and women to make their carrier and get education in this sector.
As it was noticed by Yana Krimpe, the Club had reached certain achievements in spreading information among Azerbaijani girls and women in ICT sphere and held important events not only in Baku, but also in regions. Since the very first days, the organization has been taking an active part in such prestigious events as “Bakutel-2014” and “Bakutel-2016”.
The wide range of events and conferences on rapid grow of girls and women in ICT sphere, popularization of this sector and spreading information among girls and women have been already held.
The Club still successfully cooperates with the Ministry of Education and make wide steps to popularize the ICT sphere among schoolgirls.
The fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Education, “ASAN Xidmət”, ADA University, Embassies and organizationslike“B.EST Solutions”, “MONT”, “Microsoft”, “Cybernet”, “AMCHAM” “Azertelecom”, “Azercell”, “Bakcell”, “Nar Mobile”and etc, as well as implementation of numerous traditional events like“Girls in ICT Day” and“ICT week”, helped to increase a level of overall and professional awareness of Azerbaijani IT girls and women.
The official celebration of the Club’s birthday will be held in January 2017, and many distinguished guests have promised to attend.
Other participants of the “Azerbaijan Women in ICT Club – FEMMES DIGITALES” also emphasized that during the latest 2 years the organization gained much to stay on top. Further the participants also expressed their confidence and keen belief in the Club’s bright future and the growth of cooperation with various government and private sector structures to make the ICT sector much more popular for the Azeri girls and women.
