On October 12^th 2012 Baku Stock Exchange hosted a round table on the subject of “Establishment and regulation of the activity of the market-making institution on the BSE”. The goal of the meeting, which was attended by the representatives of the local brokerage companies and commercial banks being active on the market, was to discuss the price spread between buy and sell quotes, minimal buy volumes and privileges to be applied by the stock exchange for the market-making activity. As a result of the meeting the parties decided to develop proposals on the discussed topics.

It should be noted that the BSE adopted its market-making rules on August 15^th 2012 and introduced respective changes to its trading system to enable the new market-maker functional on the market.
