As reports Finance Time, referring to the “E-Azerbaijan.info”, based on customer and market needs, the experts of Holcim (Azerbaijan) conducted a special workshop on concreting in cold weather for the members of Holcim Cement Center. According to the official statistics, the concreting works significantly decrease during cold weather (i.e., in winter). There are key challenges that concrete producers and construction companies meet (concrete can not reach the desired compressive strenghts in short period due to delay in hydrotation process). As a result, construction activities in winter period drop significantly.

The experts of Holcim (Azerbaijan) introduced innovative methods in concreting during cold weather according to the global best practices and know-how. In addition, the result of the special field tests conducted by Technical Solutions team of Holcim (Azerbaijan) was discussed. Application of this methods will create further opportunities for the concrete producers and construction companies of Azerbaijan.
