Baku, Finance Time. Organizer of International summit KAZANSUMMIT 2013, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) was elected to the Eastern Europe Directorship of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) on February 12. 

Moreover, as only a participating organization of WAIPA from Russia, TIDA will now join the Steering Committee of Association, the executive body of the WAIPA General Assembly for planning and implementing the associations’ strategy.

This decision was been passed at the Institutional Meeting of the General Assembly of WAIPA in Geneva, Switzerland. Chairman of KAZANSUMMIT Organizing Committee, Chief Executive of TIDA Linar Yakupov has taken part in the institutional meeting.

Receiving the new status of TIDA within WAIPA will bring new possibilities in realization of investment potential of Tatarstan and Russia as a whole using such platforms as KAZANSUMMIT, which will be held in Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) on May 15-17, 2013. Organizing committee of the International summit: Economic cooperation between Russia and OIC countries – KAZANSUMMIT hopes that the Investment forum within the summit in 2013 will draw a special attention of Eastern Europe countries.
