Mastercard announces the opening of its new office in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as part of its expansion strategy in the region. The move underlines the importance of Azerbaijan as a key market for the company and demonstrates its commitment to developing payment solutions in the region.

The Baku office will serve as a center for the provision of operational, technical support and consultancy services to partners and customers in the region. 

"We also plan to actively engage with local partners such asbanks, government organizations and other stakeholders to jointly develop innovative payment solutions and digitalization in Azerbaijan.  We are confident that our presence in the region will contribute to the development of the payments infrastructure and improve financial inclusion for all Azerbaijanis," commented Emil Zeynalov, Azerbaijan country manager at Mastercard.
