Baku, Finance Time. The First Mobile Operator and the Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan, is pleased to launch “Azerbaijan from the Air” book, unique collection of images taken from the sky. The images presented in this book give chance to rediscover Azerbaijan. They are refreshing view of the diverse and beautiful nature of the legendary country.  

The project supported by Bakcell has been implemented by ArtGroup Istanbul and famous Albanian photographer Alket Islami.

We are supporting the huge projects in these fields.     The photos collected in this book present beauty of Azerbaijan in a very different and unique way: it describes the diversity and beauty of the landscape. We invite to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. This is a beautiful country and we are proud to cover 92 percent of this beauty with Bakcell’s network” says Mr. Richard Shearer, Bakcell CEO.

Photoshooting has been done in July of 2012. 102 unique photos specially commissioned by Bakcell has been collected in “Azerbaijan from the Air” book.   

“It has always been a dream for me to realize a project in a country apart from Albania, and when the opportunity to work for this wonderful project in Azerbaijan came, I was immediately taken, I opened Google earth and I started preparing! Before I arrived here I knew that wonderful pictures waited for me to be taken, when I was on the air taking pictures, form the first shots I understood that we were going to show you some stunning images of this wonderful and diverse country”, says Alket Islami.

An auction was organized for 6 selected pictures in the presentation ceremony of the “Azerbaijan from the Air” book and more than 4000 AZN was collected. Bakcell will double this amount and total sum will be allocated to charity projects within the Company’s “Bakcell Stars” CSR program.
