The Company’s representative highlights the shortage of professionals and instability of the labor market

Baku, Finance Time. On October 4, the round table dedicated to the New Initiatives for the Development of Labor Markets in Azerbaijan has taken place in JW Marriott Absheron Baku. Speaking at this event held in the framework of the Education and Careers Exhibition, Mrs. Metanet Babayeva, Azerfon HR Director has expressed the corporate standpoint on new approaches used in ensuring the compatibility of the market entering labor force to the vacant places by noting the need in professionals and in upgrading their level of professionalism as well as other important issues.

Emphasizing the employee satisfaction issue in her speech, Mrs. Metanet Babayeva has touched upon priorities defined by professionals of the Azerfon Company, their career opportunities, training and development needs, stability, the diversity of privileges and profits package and noted important moments of team work. Speaking about unstable situation in the national labor market, Mrs. Babayeva has noted the shortage of professionals. She went on by linking the decreasing competition in the labor market to the scarcity of candidates and explaining it by non-substantiated high salaries and the fierce battle between the companies to recruit special talents.

While analyzing HR planning and their upbringing as important parts of the corporate policy, Azerfon HR Director has underlined that they attach the significance to this planning on the basis of the corporate HR development strategy, to the co-operation and experience sharing with educational institutions, to the formation of necessary skills at the expense of internal resources of the Company, and to the preparation of reserve personnel and making steps to ensure the professional level of young leaders.
