Baku, Finance Time. The First International Novruz Festival is planned to take place in Icherisheher from March 20 to March 23. During the Festival days, the Maidan Bazaar will be organized near the Gosha Gala Gates. Videos, products of national craftsmanship and decorative arts and souvenirs are to be demonstrated in the bazaar where many local and foreign guests will participate. Celebrated sumptuously and lasting four days in total, the Festival will take place with the broad support of Nar Mobile.

It is planned to run many interesting events in these festivities. Starting from morning hours, pehlevans(Azerbaijani wrestlers), rope-walkers and magicians will show their abilities each day coupled with Children’s Theater artists, their artistic and historical heroes as well as main figures of Novruz – Kosa(the Bearded) and Kechal(the Bald) will cheer up people gathered to this holiday celebration. During the performance of professional musicians joining to the versatile concert program, visitors will be able to listen to Mugham and classical music pieces, national songs of different peoples and modern pop and jazz music. Furthermore, mime masters will perform in public each day in the framework of the Festival while the AliaghaVahid Square will host the Mugham Trio.

It should be noted that underling the importance of this Festival, Kent McNeley, Azerfon CEO has expressed his hope that the event will become a tradition.
